those two record only in mp3 or not at all i think. Nomad Jukebox 3 is the only one (right now) that is cheap and records in uncompressed wav ... unfortuantely it was discontinued by Creative a few years ago, so they are only available in slim numbres in various locations... something will come out i'm sure in the next few years, but for now, for taping and playback and price, you really can't do better then the nomad. it's what i use after having MD's and i've never looked back.
